Thumbtack Integration Notice
How a contractor-authorized RepeatWork integration would access, use, protect, and delete Thumbtack data.
Effective: August 20, 2026
1. Current status
RepeatWork is applying for access to the Thumbtack API. The direct integration is not currently active. RepeatWork will not access a contractor's Thumbtack account through the API until Thumbtack grants the required approval and the contractor completes Thumbtack's authorization flow.
Current RepeatWork functionality is limited to AI-assisted customer import into a contractor CRM and manual follow-up management. RepeatWork does not currently send Thumbtack messages or external follow-up messages on a contractor's behalf.
2. Contractor authorization
If approved, a contractor will connect its own Thumbtack Pro account through Thumbtack's official authorization flow. RepeatWork will receive approved permissions and access tokens, not the contractor's Thumbtack password. The contractor may disconnect RepeatWork through Thumbtack or by contacting us.
RepeatWork acts as the contractor's service provider when processing API Data. The contractor remains responsible for its customer relationships and for information a Thumbtack customer makes available to that contractor.
3. Data requested
Subject to Thumbtack approval and the permissions granted, RepeatWork may request:
- lead or customer name and Thumbtack identifiers;
- service category, request details, location, timing, and lead status;
- conversation text, timestamps, and participants;
- contact details the customer makes available to the contractor; and
- business profile, authorization, source, and synchronization metadata.
RepeatWork will request only permissions needed for the contractor-facing import and CRM features available at that time.
4. How API Data would be used
At the connected contractor's direction, RepeatWork may use API Data to:
- create or update organization-scoped lead and customer records;
- display imported conversation history and source evidence;
- classify whether a conversation is work-related;
- extract factual customer and job context for contractor review;
- identify possible duplicate records; and
- place eligible records in a manual follow-up queue chosen by the contractor.
A contractor reviews AI-generated information before it becomes trusted customer context. Manual follow-up drafts are reviewed and sent by the contractor outside RepeatWork.
5. Use limitations
RepeatWork will not:
- sell or license Thumbtack API Data;
- use API Data for advertising or RepeatWork's independent consumer marketing;
- build an independent lead directory or combine records across unrelated contractors;
- allow one contractor to access another contractor's data;
- use API Data to train generalized AI models; or
- treat a Thumbtack lead as automatic consent for unrelated SMS, email, or voice marketing.
6. Security and access
API tokens and data will be transmitted and stored using safeguards appropriate to the service. Access will be restricted to authorized users of the connected contractor workspace and service providers needed to operate the integration. RepeatWork will use organization-scoped access controls, protect credentials, and investigate suspected unauthorized access.
7. Retention, disconnection, and deletion
A contractor may disconnect Thumbtack or request deletion of linked data. RepeatWork will stop using revoked access and delete API Data according to contractor instructions, applicable law, and Thumbtack's API Terms.
API Data subject to Thumbtack's destruction requirement will be destroyed promptly and no later than five business days after RepeatWork stops using the API or receives a qualifying Thumbtack request. Instructions are available on our Data Deletion page.
8. Third-party service and contact
Thumbtack is a third-party service. Thumbtack's terms and privacy policy govern its platform. This notice does not claim endorsement, certification, or integration availability beyond permissions Thumbtack actually grants. Questions may be sent to[email protected].
